Somehow I find myself "Disaster Prep" chair for my local neighborhood group here in W. San Jose. Don't ask me how that happened! ;>)
How to tie in energy efficiency with disaster prep? Here's the idea:

Give free home energy audits to the 10 people who show up for the free San Jose Prepared Disaster Prep course (which lasts 2 hours). This would be a perk for those who attend the class.

I'll most likely end up calling companies about this, but I'm just posting this info here, in case your company is interested.

Let me know what the cost would be for an audit, if 10 households were interested. I don't know if getting a Disaster Prep audit at the same time is too much at once, but that's another concept we've discussed.

Just a quick update. Looks like our local group may be working with Acterra to offer local home owners free energy audits. This would be separate from Disaster Prep.
